US Soccer - Youth Leagues   If your children play for an organized soccer league, that league is probably affiliated with one of these two organizations.  USYSA The US Youth Soccer Association is the largest youth soccer organization in the country, with over 3,000,000 kids playing in state-sanctioned leagues. AYSO The American Youth Soccer Organization has a basic philosophy that's a bit different from the USYSA.  AYSO's belief is that everychild should play, and their rules and regulations reflect this philosophy.  Coaches, referees and parents are all given instruction on how to make the game a fun, learning experience for the kids.  While not as large as USYSA (there are ~800,000 players affiliated with AYSO), the organization is still an associate member of the USSF. USA Cup It's not an organization, but rather the top youth tournament in the US.   Held annually in July, the nation's best teams compete against themselves and some top international youth teams.
