About the Football Association
The Football Association is the governing body for soccer in England. Note that England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are all considered to be separate countries when it comes to FIFA. The Football Association consists of the Premier League, the Football League (the First, Second, and Third Divisions), as well as the various Contrbutory and Supply leagues in the
country. The Premier League is the top level of soccer competition in England, with the three divisions of the Football League coming after that. The Contributory and Supply leagues include
various professional, semi-pro, and amateur teams. |
