Calling the Quarters...

New Orleans is called the Crescent City, and those who attune themselves to nature and universal patterns perform rituals to celebrate three phases of the moon: the new moon, that tiny silver moon, is called the Virgin Moon. As the moon waxes to full she is called the Mother Moon. The moon as she wanes is called the Crone Moon. Different rituals and meditations are done at these times. The Crescent Star is dedicated to bringing the magickal reality into the lives of visitors and residents of New Orleans. The Magick and Mystery Tour offers visitors an opportunity to participate in a variety of rituals during the year. There are Voodoo, Wiccan, Ceremonial, and Shamanistic Rituals held as special events and to celebrate the Wheel of the Year. Check our Special Events listing for the next ritual date.
