Top Ten Things for Kids in
New Orleans
The French Quarter

Walking through Jackson Square
is a great family activity
The French Quarter is much, much,
much more than Bourbon Street. There's Jackson
Square, Wolednberg Park, the Moonwalk, the Frech
Market, Chartres St., Royal St., and a whole
bunch more stuff that's appropriate for children.
Would I take my kids down Bourbon at night? No
way. Would I walk them through the French Market
and then stop for a muffeletta at Progress
Grocery on Decatur? You bet!
Older children will enjoy the
museums such as the Cabildo, the Presbytere,
Gallier House, etc. Younger kids will just like
seeing the sights and sounds of the French Market
and Jackson square. Don't deny your children a
glimpse at the closest thing to Europe you'll
find on this side of the ocean.
