Offerings left at Marie Laveau's Tomb

The faithful regularly leave offerings to Marie at her tomb. The day these photos were shot, we found some Mardi Gras Beads wrapped with a flower hanging near the tombstone.

We also found some beautiful roses in a vase on the ground in front of the tomb.

These offerings are left in the hopes that Marie's spirit will look favorably upon them, and the petitions made by those leaving them.
