Virtual French Market

Entrance to the Farmer's Market, the last "working" section of the French Market

Welcome to the French Market!

As is the case with many old buildings and institutions in New Orleans, the French Market is French in name and spirit, but Spanish/American in construction and design. The French Market is one of the most re-built sections of the Vieux Carre, having been destroyed several times by fires and hurricanes. Come with us on a walk through America's oldest public marketplace.
