The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is the second largest festival held in the city. The only event that attracts more visitors than Jazz Fest is Mardi Gras. Some visitors actually prefer the Fest to Carnival because Carnival tends to draw so many college students for what's becoming an early spring break (and the rowdiness that implies).

Virtual Jazz Fest is not the "official" web site of the Fest, we like to think we have a lot to offer. We're independent, and that's important when you're dealing with people who won't even let you bring your own water onto the Fair Grounds. Come with us and explore the excitement of Jazz Fest!
